William – the speaking six month old

I was privileged to do a Baby Naming Day ceremony and I found it very special, as this ceremony brought together family and friends. Family members came to Australia from as far as the United Kingdom to welcome little William into the world.

It was a very emotional time as this particular family had not seen each other for over 5 years and this particular gathering would see an addition to the family. As I stood to officially name and introduce William to the world, I could see how proud his parents were and I felt the love and support this bundle of joy was going to receive from everyone around him. It was evident that everyone present was going to step up to the plate and be a part of his progression and development.

Little William sure is special. It was phenomenal to see him putting in his ten-cent worth as I read, ‘The Parent’s Wish’. William tried to speak at the points he agreed with. This had all the family and friends including his parents bursting out in fits of laughter. Needless to say, the atmosphere was filled with love and the fun and laughter set the perfect scene for William’s family to welcome and mark his place in this world.
